Horikiri Pass & Devil’s Washboard

Begin your journey at Horikiri Pass, one of Miyazaki’s most famous coastal viewpoints. Enjoy panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, the Nichinan Coast, and the unique Devil’s Washboard rock formations stretching along the shoreline below. Formed over millions of years, these distinctive wave-shaped sandstone ridges are one of Miyazaki’s most famous natural landmarks and a favourite photography location.

Monkey Island (Kojima)

Board a local boat for a short cruise across the bay to Monkey Island. Home to a large population of wild Japanese macaques, the island offers a rare opportunity to walk among monkeys living freely in their natural habitat. Cape Toi & Cape Toi Lighthouse
